Medicare Supplement Plans

Our Medicare Supplement plans—available throughout Illinois—offer coverage in addition to Original Medicare. Medicare Supplement plans are the same from one health plan to the next. The difference will be the level of customer service and the monthly premium amount.

Plan Features
  • You can choose any doctor and hospital without a referral.
  • You pay a monthly premium but no copayments for covered services with most plans.
  • You now have the option of adding Stand-Alone Prescription Drug coverage from Health Alliance Medicare to help pay for your drug costs.

  • Plan A for our most basic and economical Medicare Supplement coverage.
  • Plan C for our Medicare Supplement plan that offers more coverage than Plan A.
  • Plan F for our Medicare Supplement plan that provides the most coverage and is most popular with our members. See Plan F (Chicago Area) if you live in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry or Will county.
  • Plan N includes copayments with a lower premium. See Plan N (Chicago Area) for rates in the counties listed above.

Please Note

Please note, we provide coverage for inpatient benefits for hospitalization, skilled nursing facility care and hospice care only if you are admitted after your policy with us is in place.

For Disabled Beneficiaries

Please contact Health Alliance Medicare at 1-888-382-9771, TTY/TDD 711 or 1-800-526-0844 (Illinois Relay), for premium information for disabled beneficiaries younger than 65 or for more information about the enrollment periods below. 

Open Enrollment—the six-month period beginning with:

  • (a) the first day of the month in which an individual is both 65 years of age or older and enrolled for benefits under Medicare Part B;
  • (b) the first day of the month in which an applicant under 65 years of age who becomes eligible for Medicare by reason of disability enrolls for benefits under Medicare Part B; or
  • (c) the first day of the month in which an applicant under 65 years of age becomes eligible for benefits under Medicare Part B due to a retroactive eligibility decision made by the Social Security Administration.

Annual Election Period—the period that begins on November 15 and ends on December 31. During this time a disabled individual under age 65 who is enrolled in Medicare Part B may enroll for benefits under the Medicare Supplement Plan.
