www.ssa.gov—The official website of the U.S. Social Security Administration. You can also call the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday (TTY/TDD 1-800-325-0778)
www.Medicare.gov—The official U.S. government website for Medicare. To get help and information directly from the federal Medicare program, you can also call 1-800-MEDICARE or 1-800-633-4227, 24 hours a day, seven days a week (TTY/TDD users can call 1-877-486-2048).
http://www.insurance.illinois.gov/ship/—The website for the Senior Health Insurance Program, an independent state program that gets money from the Federal government to give free local health insurance counseling to people with Medicare. You can also reach this program at 1-800-548-0934 (TTY/TDD 217-524-4872).
www.state.il.us/aging—The website for the Illinois Department on Aging that helps seniors live independently in their homes and communities. You can call their Senior Helpline at 1-800-252-8966 (TTY/TDD 1-888-206-1327) Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. through 5 p.m.
www.cms.gov—The official website for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the federal agency that runs the Medicare program.
